In the past few years, a host of digital health technologies—activity trackers, smart watches, mobile medical apps and connected point-of-care diagnostics and medical devices—have emerged, aimed at capturing personal health data. The ability to continuously gather actionable, real-world data about human biology suggests a number of intriguing possibilities, including reducing inefficiencies in healthcare delivery, improving access, reducing costs, increasing quality, making medicine more personalised and empowering consumers to take more control over their health.
At GSK Consumer Healthcare, we’re interested in digital health technology and tools in four key areas: medication adherence, health and symptom tracking, diagnosis/self-selection and treatment. These tools primarily complement our established over-the-counter categories: Pain Relief, Oral Health, Respiratory, Nutrition/Digestive Health and Skin Health.
To develop these, we seek partners for licensing and co-developing digital health technologies. We’re primarily interested in patent-protected innovations in early- or late-stage development. By combining your technology expertise with GSK’s deep understanding of consumers and clinical research experience, we can co-create digital health solutions that have a truly powerful impact.
